Project Need

The pavement of Manhattan-Monee Road is at the end of its service life. The existing geometry does not meet current design criteria which results in off-the-road crashes. Crashes at Center Road are primarily angle and at Harlem Avenue are primarily rear end crashes. The intersections of Manhattan-Monee Road with Center Road and with Harlem Avenue result in operational LOS F and E, respectively.
